Meet The Doctors

"ENTER TO GET WELL"

This simple four letter phrase has welcomed our patients for decades.

Many of our patients have come to our office for the first time in Crisis, but with time they have begun to understand the underlying principle of Chiropractic..THE BODY HEALS ITSELF. How does this work? NOTHING is put INTO the body, NOTHING is taken FROM the body. As long as the mind body connection is re-established then the body will revert back to its natural state of WELL-BEING.

These are some of the rewards that are beyond measure. One is the satisfaction a chiropractor receives from knowing that someone has been helped and guided by his or her care. Another is the contentment that comes from knowing care has been made available, regardless of monetary factors, to those who would like to benefit from the miracle that chiropractic might bring.

It is this expectation of healing that Dr. Richard has been in practice for over 40 years. Dr. Danielle for over 20 years. They treat everyone from professional athletes to weekend warriors. Both doctors also has extensive knowledge in the treatment and management of Personal Injury cases. All of their cases are handled in a multi-disciplinary fashion, i.e., neurologic, orthopedic and diagnostic testing.

I learned about Chiropractic at a very young age. When I was six years old, my cousins were baby sitting me. Everyone was playing and joking around in our Brooklyn apartment. Of course, I was the youngest and I was bound to get hurt. My head slammed into the radiator and I was jolted. My older cousins swore me to secrecy and told me they would 'kill' me if I said anything.

The months that followed were very hard. I was dizzy, constantly sick, vomiting and had chronic ear and sinus problems. My parents took me to every doctor in town and no one could find anything wrong with me. They gave me medications which didn't work and I started getting worse on the drugs. I was very tired and missed a lot of school.

Finally, someone told my mom to take me to a Chiropractor. She thought it was crazy but we had tried everything else and she was willing to give it a try. We waited a very long time to see the doctor and when we did, he wasn't at all what we were expecting.

He had long hair, a beard and a warm smile. He sat down next to me and told me that he would be checking my spine for something called subluxations. He put his hands on my neck and asked me if I hit my head recently. I didn't say a word and looked down. My mother gave me one of her looks and told me that I better tell the truth. I finally admitted to the incident with my cousins and the doctor smiled and said he could help me.

Within one month, I was back to myself. I still have the scar on my forehead where I hit my head, it reminds me of my journey and reminds me of who I am today. The body really does heal itself.

I wish that my story was as inspiring as my father's. Unfortunately, it's not. I had the absolute privilege of growing up with Chiropractic and around Chiropractors. We see things just a little bit different than other people. We believe in the wonderment of YOU and we just want to help you reach your health potential.

I grew up in a Chiropractic office where people were constantly being helped. Women who couldn't get pregnant were having kids, people in wheelchairs started walking. Sick people got well. It was amazing! I loved everything about the office, especially riding on the fun tables. People loved coming in. Some even bore gifts or cookies thanking my dad for helping them. Of course, he did nothing. The body heals itself. It was a big family and I was so happy to be a part of it.

I knew I would be a Chiropractor some day and even wrote it in my Morris Hills High School yearbook. Everyday I am thankful that I am a Chiropractor. It is an amazing feeling to be able to treat the very same people that watched me grow up to follow in my father's footsteps. I see children that I adjusted as infants, riding their bikes to our office. Maybe my daughter or my son will witness the incredible world of Chiropractic and follow their mom.
